watching from the corner
listening to the laughter
smiling at those who see...
her lingering quietly.
She stores the moments tenderly
in her heart full of love
for the child she watches now
has become a woman before her eyes.
Memories now of all that was
dreams of all that will be.
Moments...only moments left...
and these will also become
precious memories.
Standing in the shadowscrying a single tear...
a heart filled with love
for her child now joined
with another heart forever.
Standing alone she sees
all the dreams she held so tightly
become reality simply because
she gave them to the Father.
Two hearts once joined
and a dream was created...
many prayers were prayed
love was given
faith was shared
prayers were answered...
new lives now joined...
and in the shadows
this mom cries tenderly......
